If I book a site visit am I committing to anything?

If you book a site visit, be assured you are not committing to using our service. We will walk around with you and gather the information required to provide you with a FREE NO-OBLIGATION quote.

 

What is involved in a site visit?

One of our team will visit your premises at a time that is convenient for you. We will look to walk around the areas you are interested in revamping and take full measurements whilst discussing the options available to you. We will discuss themes, colours and any special requirements you have before going away to design your concepts.

The health and safety of our employees and customers are important to us. To ensure our site visits are Covid safe, we ensure the following steps are taken:

  • Site visits are offered at any time.
  • We will follow the policies and covid guidelines you have in place on-site. Please make us aware of these before we visit or when we arrive at your building.
  • We will maintain the appropriate distance from others in line with government guidance/your policies.
  • We will wear face coverings as required.
  • We will follow any signage/systems/directions when moving around the site.
  • We will follow good hygiene procedures.

Can you visit if we are having building work done?

Yes. We can provide a quote off plan, however, we would always recommend a visit as soon as the work has been completed so that we can provide a true quote.

 

Do you offer remote consultations?

Yes, we offer remote consultations via Microsoft Teams.

 

How long does a project take from start to completion?

Our projects usually take around 4-6 weeks to complete. However, this may take longer if there are many rounds of revisions and your availability to have our installation team visit. If you are working to a specific deadline, please let us know and we will see what we can do to work to this date!

 

What areas do you cover?

We are a nationwide company. Although we are based in Yorkshire, we have installed wall art for nurseries, primary and high schools, colleges and universities all over the UK.

 

PAYMENT & RETURNS

What are your payment terms? 

Payment for your school wall art is split into two even invoices across the project:

50% once an order is placed. This covers the bespoke design phase including unlimited revisions* to your designs.

50% once installed. This covers the production, print and installation of your school wall art.

What is your return policy?

As our school wall art products are custom, they are not returnable unless there is an issue with the product.

 

Who owns the copyright for the designs produced?

Upon completion of the installation and payment of all invoices, all image rights are transferred to our clients.

How do I place an order?

Placing an order with Inspired Visual couldn’t be easier! Simply follow the instructions below to order your school wall displays:

  1. Get a quote following a site visit or by submitting photos
  2. Decide on your wall art details – size, image themes etc
  3. Contact us to confirm your details
  4. We will get to work designing your school wall art

 

How do I let you know what I want in my graphics?

Our sales team will confirm all the details with you but there are 2 ideal opportunities to confirm your image requirements:

At an onsite visit.  when our team visit your site to fully understand the layout, take measurements and discuss your needs, any and all information that you can provide for our design team to consider will be passed on.

When placing an order. Although you do not need to, if you have specific images you want to be included, you can provide them at this point and we will factor them into our designs.

If you have any ‘non-negotiables’ please let us know and we will ensure these are included in your mock-ups. Our designers work best with creative freedom so therefore any need-to-know information is vital.

If after receiving your initial designs your requirements have changed, please let us know and we will make the necessary adjustments.

 

Are there any limitations in the images included?

There are a few limitations of images that must be considered as we will not include images that are:

  • in breach of copyright (Inspired Visual will not be held responsible for any copyright claims, it is your responsibility to ensure you have the correct permissions to use any image provided)
  • of a sexual nature
  • racist, hurtful or cause damage to an individual or company

 

What are the guidelines for wall art?

If you have your own designs, then we are happy to print and install only. Please view our artwork guidelines page.

What image files do you accept?

Your artwork should be print ready. Image file types accepted include:

  • .PDF
  • .JPG
  • .TIFF
  • .EPS
  • .AI

How long before my designs will be ready?

Once you have placed an order, our team of designers will book your design work to be commenced. We usually aim to have your artwork with you for the first review within 1-2 weeks (although this may be longer in busier periods).

Can I have my designs before confirming an order?

Unfortunately not. Our specialist team provide bespoke school wall images for your specific location. We need to fully understand the location layout, materials needed, design requirements and timeframes before we can plan the work and create the first draft images.

Your draft images have unlimited changes* so you can be assured the end product will be perfect for your needs!

Can I provide you with my own images?

Yes! Certainly! All we ask is that you provide your images as soon as possible in the process so that we can incorporate them into your design!

Please ensure that you own the copyright (this is your responsibility as we cannot be held responsible for this) and that the images are high-quality so that they look good on your walls!

How many amends can I make to my designs?

Your draft images have unlimited changes so you can be assured the end product will be perfect for your needs!

The unlimited changes in your images include minor tweaks only. Minor tweaks examples include font or colour changes. Large-scale changes from the initial brief may result in additional charges, but this will be discussed with you before any changes are made.

 

What is classed as approval of the images?

You will be asked to approve your final design before it goes to print.

Once a design is approved, it cannot be changed without the potential of additional costs. It is advised that more than one staff member double-check all wording, colours and image clarity before you approve designs for printing.

INSTALLATION

How do I prepare my areas for installation?

Our school wall art graphics are classed as ‘finishing products’. The better prepared your surfaces are before we arrive, the better the finish is likely to be. So if you need to paint the walls, fix any holes in the plaster or give the walls a thorough clean, it is best this is done before the installers arrive to ensure the walls are clean and dry ahead of installation.

Any preparation needed is usually discussed at the site visit with the installer. With this in mind, It is usually helpful to have one of your site team staff available at the site survey so they are aware of any specific preparation work required.

If the walls are not ready on the pre-agreed installation day and a return visit is subsequently needed, there may be an extra cost for this.

 

What happens on installation day?

Prior to arriving, our team will confirm the day before that everything is still OK for the installation, any access considerations and confirmation on who will be meeting them on the day. Should everything still be OK, we will arrive at the agreed time. If the walls are not ready and a return visit is subsequently needed, there may be an extra cost for this.

During installation, our team will lay out and professionally install the artwork in the agreed locations. Once all the artwork has been installed, we will request sign-off before our team leave. We advise that someone who has been involved with the project from the beginning be there to sign the installation off. If this is not possible, please ensure that your staff are fully briefed with your expectations so that they can sign off while we are present.

Any sign-off issues must be raised on the day of installation. We cannot accept any installation issues after the day of installation – although if you have any product defects or issues, we will work with your to remedy these.

 

What surfaces do you cover?

We can design and install school wall artwork on almost any internal or external surface.  This includes:

After an initial visit and assessment, we will advise the best materials to suit the surface to be covered. Our materials are high-quality, durable, and perfect for use in high-traffic areas seen in High Schools, Primary Schools, Nurseries, Colleges and Universities.

Can you prepare my walls for me?

While most schools have caretakers or regular contractors for this work, we can provide this service for an additional cost.

 

Do you offer any plastering or electrical work as part of the installation?

On some installs, we do arrange for trusted third-party contractors to assist with plastering and electrical work on our projects. Please ask a member of our sales team for more details.

 

Can wall art be installed on bumpy walls?

Yes, we can install wall art on bumpy walls. Ask our sales team about the options available.

 

What kind of vinyl do you use for wall decals?

We use a selection of different wallpaper, vinyl, and other substrates depending on the wall and window surfaces we are applying to. Please contact our sales team for more information.

 

For schools, do you work during holidays or weekends?

Yes, we regularly work during holidays and weekends. We can also work overnight if needed.

 

Are your staff DBS-checked?

Yes, all our staff hold enhanced DBS certification.

GUARANTEE & MAINTENANCE

Do you offer a guarantee?

Yes. We guarantee that the material adheres (and remains adhered to your wall) and be free of defects in material for a period of 12 months. The materials that we use are all high quality, durable materials which are fit for purpose and we are confident in them remaining in place for years following installation.

Please note, we do not guarantee against general wear and tear or wilful damage.

Can I clean my wall graphics?

Yes,  any marks that appear can be cleaned using warm soapy water.

We will provide guidance on how to care for your school wall art based on its location and the materials used to ensure that your graphics last for years to come.

 

How long do vinyl wall decals last?

All our graphics are guaranteed for a minimum of 12 months, but with regular maintenance, they can last for many years. We have work that is over 10 years old that is still looking good!

 

What happens if my Wall Art gets damaged? 

Small parts or larger sections can be replaced easily by our installation team. If your product is still under warranty, we can cover small areas free of charge or at cost. Contact us and we will discuss your options with you.

 

Are vinyl wall decals removable?

All our graphics are removable, but depending on the material used, they may leave behind adhesive residue. If this is a concern, speak to a member of our team and we’d be delighted to run through the options available.
